I put on a pair of pants this morning that I must not have worn in quite some time, because I found this when I reached in my pocket.
It's a movie ticket that went through the wash for The Bourne Ultimatum. Apparently I saw it on September 8, 2007, and paid $8.50 each for two tickets. I took the kids to see Tron Legacy over the holidays and paid $12.50 each for us to see it. That's a 48% increase in three years. Interesting.
Then I check my e-mail this morning and there was a message there from
Zillow. I have the site set to track the value of my home and send me updates any time something significant changes. Well this is what it sent me.
A $2500.00 DECREASE in the last 30 days. Which would be okay, I guess, if they hadn't already sent me 10 copies of the same message over the last two years. My home is currently worth $50,000 less than I paid for it three years ago.
So, movies are up 50% in three years, and my home is down $50 Grand in two years.
Very interesting.
